2010 Schedule of Block of the Month meetings.

Shakespeare in the Park Quilt-a-long
Shakespeare in the Park Quilt-a-long will start in January 2010. First meeting is Tuesday January 19 at 7 pm.
The quilt-a-long will meet monthly on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm for 7 months. Meetings will be a lecture/demo with the actual sewing done at home.
The quilt is composed of Virginia Reel and Rising Star blocks.
It’s a quilt-a-long since you will be making multiple blocks each month.
The number you make you depend on the size of finished quilt you desire.
Each month you will bring your completed blocks to show. Fabric choices will be up to you.
A one time fee of $25 to join also provides you with the book.
Hop To It Block of the Month
First meeting is Thursday January 28 at 7 pm.
An appliqué block of the month. Hand or machine appliqué – the choice is yours.
Will meet on the 4th Thursday of the month.
Block patterns in the book are to be enlarged to 11 ½ inches. We will be enlarging the patterns more so they are 14 inch blocks.
One time up front fee of $25 includes the book. Fabric kits and enlarged pattern will be provided each month for $10 per month.
Stitcher’s Garden will start in January 2010.
First lecture/demo meeting is Saturday January 9 at 9 am.
First hands on class meeting is Sunday January 10 at 1:30 pm.
Different sewing machine feet will be used each month along with decorative stitches on the sewing machine. This is an opportunity to find out what your sewing machine can do besides straight stitch.
Each month explore a new technique like machine appliqué, couching, pintucking, candlewicking and even sewing on a button by machine.
Open to all makes and models of sewing machines and you may join at any time.
This block of the month will be done as a lecture/demo on the 2nd Saturday of the month at 9 am and as a hands on class on the 2nd Sunday of the month from 1:30 – 4 pm. You may choose to attend just the Saturday demo.
Lecture/demo fee of $5 per month for which you will receive the pattern block of the month and a coupon good for 20% off one notion.
Hands on class fee is $10 per month and a coupon good for 20% off one notion. One coupon per person per month.
Back to Nature Will start in March 2010.
First meeting is March 9 at 7 pm.
A 10 month block of the month program. There will be some additional blocks to make to have the setting blocks done by the end of the program.
Meeting will be a lecture demo with your sewing done at home.
Fabrics will be kitted for this program. The quilt is queen size. Cost is yet to be determined.
Will start in March and will be on the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm.
